We've been looking at options to improve your data timelines, data accuracy and the reliability of the Streats-manufactured Aquacom logger. What we’ve come up with is a special one-time offer - replacing your Aquacom units with new IoT devices, (valued at $650 each) at absolutely no cost to you in exchange for your old Aquacom unit. Order before the offer ends and we'll schedule your upgrade when we're in your area.

The deal – it’s a no-brainer

Think of it as a free smartphone replacement for your old first generation cell phone – and it’s on us. Designed, tested and assembled in New Zealand, our new IoT Loggers will give you additional benefits such as:

  • 15 min data displayed every 15 min on the Watermetrics web portal
  • 2 year warranty (RTB) on the new equipment
  • No increase in Annual Fees
  • Elimination of expensive Aquacom repair costs
  • A means of adding inexpensive sensors without large capital outlay – for example:
    • Soil Moisture and Temperature sensors (approximately 50% price of Aquaflex and monitoring equipment)
    • House water
    • Dairy wash
    • Pump On / Off
    • Well depth

Terms and Conditions

As with any great offer like this, there are a few terms and conditions.

  1. This offer is limited to farmers with Aquacom loggers in the Canterbury region.
  2. Any additional non Aquacom loggers can be replaced at the same time at per unit cost of $650 (plus GST) and installation time (plus GST).
  3. As we are providing the new logger and installation free, we ask that you commit to using the Watermetrics sensor monitoring service for a period of three calendar years. There will be no increase in the consent monitoring and data acquisition fees for the three year period.
  4. If you decide to exit the three year term early, Watermetrics reserve the right to invoice apportioned equipment and installation costs.
  5. By accepting the free logger offer, you also give permission for Watermetrics staff to come onto your property to undertake the installation and remove the old Aquacom units.

This free upgrade is in exchange for your old Aquacom unit, which means you’ll get more out of your on-farm technology. All you have to do is approve the replacement, and we’ll take care of the rest.

Next steps

We’ve developed a deployment plan based on location criteria, so here’s what happens next:

  1. We’ll send you an email 3-5 days prior to your upgrade, letting you know we’re planning to be in your area.
  2. The email will include contact details and an FAQ.
  3. We’ll call you on the business day before your upgrade, and confirm your free installation.
  4. After the new equipment has been deployed, we’ll undertake some checks before updating your data, (there might be a small data update delay – should not be any more than a couple of hours).

FAQ

What will it cost?
There is no cost to you. The offer is for a free Aquacom replacement and installation on your existing Aquacom loggers.

What do I need to do to accept the offer?
Click the I Approve button to give your approval. That will add your farm to the list. Before we come into your area, we will give you three to four days advance notice and give you a call the day before to confirm your location details.

Will my services be hindered while this new technology is being deployed?
We are doing the upgrade in the off season, and are not planning any disruption to services with potentially only a very small outage when the data is updated (usually around mid-night to 4 AM each day)

What happens if I don’t approve the offer?
We are making this offer because the technology is becoming costly and prohibitive to maintain. As such, we will be turning the current network off in the near future. The offer will not be repeated, we encourage you to accept your replacement loggers with 2 year equipment warranty and free installation today
